Pakistani cricketers Shahid Afridi and Umar Akmal declined offers to fix one-day international matches towards England during their trip of the UAE in 2012, english media reported on Saturday.

Peshawar: The sport man come politician Imran Khan , founding leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had revealed the starting of the ‘Imran Khan Talent Hunt Programme’ in July which is likely to begin in the end of the following month. Former Pakistan team captain Imran Khan and the PTI Sports and Culture chairman Iftikhar Elahi of KP briefed that the programme is aimed at growing the sport activities in the provinces.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramazan T20 tournament will start from today at National Stadium, Karachi. 10 department teams are participating in the event, 23 matches is going to be played during the tournament.



The tournament winner will be given Rs. 1 million. Ramazan tournament carries winners’ purse of Rs2 million. Individual price of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 50,000 will also be given by group of sponsors. Advance Telecom and Pepsi are sponsor of this tournament. PCB is holding first ever T20 tournament in the month of Ramazan.
