Princess Diana’s iconic dresses fetched $1.2 million at London Auction
The off-the-shoulder, midnight blue velvet gown, designed by Victor Edelstein, was the star lot in a sale of 10 of Diana’s dresses at vintage fashion auctioneers Kerry Taylor Auctions in London.
Auctioneer Kerry Taylor said: “It was purchased by a Uk gentleman who stated he wished to buy it as a surprise to cheer up his wife. I am hoping that the sale has truly made someone’s day.” She added that the new holder of the gown, which reached the top price of the sale, was a “lucky woman”.
The famed dress was expected to sell for £300,000 Yahoo reports.
Nine other dresses, including two of Diana’s Catherine Walker looks, which any single went for £108,000 ($163,090), sold in the auction to various buyers and museums from around the worldwide.

Shahid Afridi Splice Restaurant Opened In Lahore
On the celebration of opening restaurant well-known cricketers were present. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president and former Pakistan cricket team head Imran Khan came to the launching. Left arm bowler Wahab Riaz, middle order batsman Umar Akmal also arrived for the event. Model Waqar Ali Khan was also there.
