Habib Bank Limited (HBL) beaten Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in a Super Over in the 1st edition of Ramadan T20 Cup of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) played at National Stadium in Karachi. the match was tied as PIA’s Anwar hit six of the last ball to tie the match.
Imran Farhat was declared Man-of-the-Match and Younis Khan lifted the 2013 Advance Telecom Ramadan T20 Cup.
HBL won the toss and chosen to bat 1st and was all out on the last ball of the final over after getting 158. Pakistan ex-opener Imran Farhat scored sixty five runs with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes. Asad Baig scored 28 whereas HBL captain Younis Khan scored 20 runs of 18 balls. HBL at one stage was 126/2 but good bowling from PIA restricted them to 158. Salman Saeed took three wickets, Ghulam Mohammad and Shoaib Malik bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply PIA also scored 158 runs with the help of Faisal Iqbal’s 42, Sarfraz Ahmed’s 30 and Anwar Ali quick fire 17 runs. Anwar Ali hit six on the very last ball to level the score of HBL. In the Super Over PIA batted first and scored 7 runs. Imran Farhat of HBL sealed the game in three balls by scoring two boundaries.
