Pakistan former captain and the most successful left arm fast bowler of world cricket Wasim Akram will get married an Austrlain lady Shaniera Thompson. Media reports says that 47-year-old Wasim proposed to Shaniera Thompson on bended knee in their lounge room in Manchester during the ICC Champiosn Trophy. Wasim met Thompson in 2011 in Melbourne.
Shaniera Thompson, former public relations consultant, has converted to Islam and she will reside in Pakistan. the 30-year-old Shaniera Thompson said: “It was the loving moment of my life because it was so real,” She told Akram: “If we are doing this the traditional way, then you've to ask my dad.” Thompson’s father is satisfied for cuple and have given his true blessing to Wasim and Thompson.
This will be Wasim Akram’s second marriage. Wasim Akram first marriage was held in 1995 with Huma. In 2009 Huma Akram died. They had two boys who are now aged fifteen and twelve. Both the kids are also happy on Wasim Akram’s second marriage.
