Muslim Student Suspended From School on Wearing Hijab in India



Bokakhat, India: Another strange case appeared in Assam state of Indian where School administration terminated female student on wearing Hijab (A Muslim Veil). The controversial decision of Kristo Jyoti School has started new debate in Indian Media.  4 years of age Fatima Bibi has submitted complaint in High Court against biased decision of School. On other hand, School is ready to deal with this case in the court.

Fatima’s parents explained media that they received 15 days notice. The notice stated, “Follow the principles of school and avoid Hijab or don’t send her school. After this, parents decided to get justice through legal way. Fatima’s mother stated that she want to educate her child and success in future.

The School principal told media that they have clear point of view on this issue. We want equal and uniform rights of every student, Principal said. There is no poor, no rich in school and it’s also meant to infuse discipline, He Principal Father Jose Varghese argued.

Advocate Jayanta Kumar Goswami informed media that many students are facing same issue in all over India. He also cleared that constitution give religious rights.
