Doctor, paramedics announce strike in Karachi’s Abbasi hospital

Karachi: In protest up against the killing of Dr Asad Usman in Karachi, the doctors plus the premedical staff members inside the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) have announced to observe 3 days strike against the firing of their colleague.

Unknown men on Tuesday gunned Dr Usman and his personal guard in Nazimabad area of the city.

The doctors have stated that they would notice three days strike in Out-Patient Department (OPD) the hospital.

ASH Director Waqar Kazmi mentioned that the government had been was not able to provide protection to the doctors, adding that good doctors were leaving the country because of the government’s behavior.
