Viewing ultra-high res pictures from space will not be a dream any more



DigitalGlobe, a foremost provider of high quality images from space is ready to launch their WorldView-3 Satellite Sensor to offer public with ultra-high resolution pictures from space.
DigitalGlobe’s WorldView-3 is an advanced next generation digital satellite which is planned to be launched on, August 13, 2014 to collect eight band short-wave infrared (SWIR) and 12 CAVIS photos with providing 0.31 resolution means it will capture the objects from space as small as 0.31 cm.

DigitalGlobe earlier meant to sell high-res images that are below 50 cm quality to US military only but new rules by United States govt enables the company to sell ultra-high resolution images to general public too.

This will also assist to pinpoint mineral deposits and bigger farms and would similarly deliver a crisper and detailed view of planet earth which has previously been readily available for only govt and military. It's to be recognized that the company formerly has launched WorldView 1 and 2 for commercial purposes.
