A large number of Hizbut Tahrir Group members, mostly ladies observed protest chanting slogans ‘ALLAH HU AKBAR’, ‘Reject Miss World’ and ‘Miss World Culture Liberalization Campaign’.

The protestors asked the federal government to end the happening of the event. The organizers said that canceling the contest wasn't possible since the government has extended full support for providing security and miss-happening.

Head of the MNC media group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo attempting to settle down the opposition said that it wouldn't be a bikini show and nothing would happen that could go against the ethical norms of the culture.

The vandal groups had hurled stones at the western embassies and demanded the cancellation of the event.
