Announcing the decision of the panel, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain stated that it was for the 1st time politicians were given chance to appoint an interim PM but they had unsuccessful in their efforts.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khurshid Shah also stated that for the first time parliament was given mandate to choose the interim PM but they failed and now Election Commission of Pakistan would think about the name of interim PM.
Speaking from the opposition side, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mehtab Abbasi stated that it is currently the responsibility of ECP to consider the name of interim PM.
PML-N’s Khawaja Saad Rafique further added that it was not the failure of politicians adding that it was a sensible practice that for the 1st time the names given from both of the sides have a strong reputation and were not criticsed.
“We should accept the decision of ECP on the interim PM,” he added.
