Meera, Laila to contest upoming Elections from Lahore



Lahore: Like the election temperature grips the country with politicians holding rallies and striking deals to grab big share of seats, Lollywood stars have also shown their intrest inside the political activities.

2 Pakistani actresses, Meera and Laila, have plans to be elected as the members of the future assemblies of the country.

Meera plans to become Punjab Assembly member on one of the reserved seats for females. Talking to media, Meera’s mom Shafqat Zehra mentioned that her daughter would participate in the coming elections on one of the reserved seats for women in the provincial assembly.

Meera telephoned me from India and asked ‘mother kindly get nomination paper as I would like to be elected’.”

When quizzed what plans Meera has soon after being elected as an MPA, Zehra mentioned the actress wished to serve women within the country and she'd work for their education.

On the other side , actress Laila has also decided to contest elections on a general seat from Lahore. Elaborating her decision to take part in the elections, Laila stated that she wished to take part in the elections as it was the best way to serve nations and females.
