Orangi Pilot Project Director Parveen Rehman Killed :
Parveen Rehman Orangi Pilot Project director and social worker for the past 25 years or so was murdered by unkown gunmen near Pirabad Police Station. The attackers riding a bike started shoot on her vehicle when she was coming back home from office. DIG Police reports that Parveen Rehman’s murder was a result of a targeted attack and the attackers acknowledged that she will pass from here.
Perveen was rushed to hospital by her driver, but she succumbed to her wounds. Her body was actually shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Her family and relatives are in a deep shock after the tragic killing.
The 55-year-old Parveen was unmarried and her total focus was on welfare work. She lived with her mother in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. She was Director of the Research Department in the project. Many other social orgainsiations and workers have condemned the murdering of Parveen Rehman. Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad has taken notice of Parveen killing and have ordered for investigation.
