DUBAI: 31 years of age Emirati Arab woman engineer Fatima Jaseem Al Zaabi, has recently got an invitation to dinner at the White House by the US President Barack Obama. In the acknowledgment for her inspiring use of Microsoft (MSFT) PowerPoint for making architectural designs for homes.
Fatima, lives along with her family members in Abu-Dhabi. Her last qualification is her High School Diploma. She always desired to get knowledge about software programs and technology.
At first, Fatima first took up an Engineering Course at Al Khwarizmi International College in Al Ain simply because she planned to become a Civil Engineer. She found it very tough to use software application Auto Cad, which is a particular program that allows users to draw homes in 2D and 3D styles.
After a year, she made a decision to drop and not to go further with this course. Then she discover an alternate without having professional course, she came up with the idea that took six years to install new options within the tool bar of PowerPoint
She posted the very first edition of her book on her own expense, And in the at the same time she has got approached by Microsoft and Google who was considering to purchase her program. She added that, she desired to show the entire world that how empowered Muslim women in the UAE are.
