Islamabad: National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has started another new way to confirm CNIC thru text messages. NADRA has introduced this specific service with collaboration of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Right now this service is very fast and impressive.
Write Complete CNIC Number with dashes and send it to 7000. Soon, you'll receive a sms with details of CNIC holder. The information contain Name and Father Name of CNIC Holder. This sms will be in Urdu.
The worst thing relating to this service is fees of 1 sms. They are charging 10 Rupees + tax for every sms you send to 7000. It’s really horrible for those poor Pakistanis who are unable to eat properly. NADRA and PTA administrations should revise this decision. In addition, Your Mobile should support Urdu characters otherwise you can’t read sms.
We are all aware that this is not an expensive or extra ordinary feature so federal government should asked these organizations to reduce prices. Most of Government companies also charge heavy call rates for mobile users like PTCL evo.
