Mumbai, India: India is the only country in globe in which over 50 independence movements are running. Nearly all 28 states of India are struggling with small and large Separatist movements. Many prominent separation movements are going on in Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tripura and Bodoland. Khalistan Movement is also among major separatist movement in India which is actually for Independent Sikh State of Punjabi majority areas.
Many Pakistanis only understand Independence movement in Kashmir but truth is more surprising. The Seven Sisters of India Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland as well as Tripura are strongest states of independent movements.
Nagaland State has become worst place for Indian Forces where more than 900 Indian soldiers were killed in last four years. According to states, 34 popular rebellious organizations are fighting for separate country. Many Muslim Jihadi organizations are also running here for separate Muslim state.
There are certainly around one dozen Sikh organizations in Punjab which are demanding freedom from Hindustan.
