Chief Election Commissioner Pakistan Fakharuddin G Ibrahim resigns



Chief election commissioner of Pakistan, Justice Retired Fakharuddin G Ibrahim has resigned from his post because of threats of life received by him.

Election commission has accepted this news and according to ECP, he has delivered the resignation letter to the President of Pakistan.
Within the resignation letter, the chief commissioner states that he was not qualified for this post but he accepted it on the appeal of government and he done his best to carry out neat and clean elections in the country.

He mentioned that irrespective of the threats, election commission carried out elections in the country in which he attempted his best to meet his requirements in line with the law and rules.

Chief election commissioner has written that he and his family are getting threats. Moreover according to his wife, he will not take back his resign now.
