Azad Jammu and Kashmir University Declares Burqa (Abaya) as Compulsory



Muzaffarabad: University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has revealed Burqa as mandatory. A circulation has been granted from University in which AJKU asked female students to wear Abaya. Female Students without having Abaya wouldn’t able to enter in University, circulation ordered.  This is unique command from any well known educational institute of Pakistan.

AJK University also bound Male Students with couple of ideas and limits. University Administration has recommended male students to ear decent and simple dresses. AJK University has also advised male students to avoid cartoon and types of picture tee shirts and jeans. And instead of wearing these dresses, use dress shirts, university administration added.


University has imposed this notice quickly without having any delay. On other side, different opinions have been found across the university. The use of Abaya will increase modesty, a group feels. Other group observes that it will generate problem for foreigners and broad mind students.
