Pakistan Army Concerned Over Security Situation In Karachi And Quetta:

During a meeting between Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani indicated concerns about the deteriorating security conditions inside the country most especially in Karachi and Quetta to President Asif Ali Zardari. Military Chief Ashfaq Parvez Kayani also briefed Asif Ali Zardari on the security conditions of the country.

Based on media reports Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani alos show worried regarding the ineffective utilize of civilian law enforcement agencies in maintaining law and order. Kayani also brought up the matter of contact between political parties and militants groups. General Kayani also revealed concern over the existence of armed wings in political parties.


Army Chief General Kayani told Presdient Zardari that the Pakistan army is prepared to try to do whatever is necessary at the demand of the democratic government. Army is ready to do operation in country like the 2009 operation in Swat.

Within the current few months killing in Karachi and Quetta have raised and hundreds of people have been killed. Police have failed to maintain law and order in both the cities.
