Previous minister of finance Hafeez Shaikh, Justice (retired) Mir Hazar Khoso and former governor of State Bank of Pakistan Dr Ishrat Hussain are the nominees which were selected by Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N)leader and Oppostion head in National assembly Chaudhry Nisar after consultation with its like-minded opposition had written names of Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Justice (retd) Shakirullah Jan and Awami Tehreek’s Rasool Bux Paleejo in the letter sent to Prime Minister.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan also showed support for the nominees of PML-N as well as other opposition parties, however PPP led government criticised the opposition’s nominees.
Its assumed that Prime Minsiter Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will meet Opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali and will talk about the candidate for the caretaker PM.
