Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Sunday chosen Justice Mir Hazar Khan Khoso as caretaker PM of Pakistan.
Task of choosing the caretaker PM was allotted to the Election Commission after Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Opposition Head in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar and soon after an eight-member parliamentary commission failed in finding a consensus.
The ECP chosen the PM during meeting chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G Ibrahim and attended by four other members including Justice (retd) Riaz Kiyani and Justice (retd) Fazlur Rehman, Justice (retd) Shahzad Akbar, and Justice (retd) Roshan Isani are also there in the meeting.
Mir Hazar Khan Khoso born and raised in Jaffarabad on September 1929, and did his graduation from the Sindh University. He was considered a reliable lawyer and well-versed in several fields of law.
Mir Hazar Khan Khoso become judge of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) in 1977 and had served chief justice of the court from 1990 to 1991.
